Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"This is located at an old kopitiam near Petaling Street. The wanton noodles were cooked just right. Wanton has a little of salted fish in it, yummy! Place get crowded during lunchtime."
"Food review -Dry curry wantan noodle + wantan = . Being having this since college time till now, taste quality still remain over a decade. Dine in environment - indoor ceiling fan. Could be hot if dine in during lunch hour as the restaurant air ventilation kinda "so-so" Price - RM9 / 10 [Y24] Payment method - CC, CC (Amex) - Cash only / online payment"
"I really like wonton noodles, and tasted quite a few around the city. I have to say this one is one of the best. The sauce is excellent and chai siew is really tender. The noodle texture is just right. To me, this is really 5 stars for taste. Service is also excellent. Atmospheric can be improve a little especially when coming to seating arrange. But still, it is an old shoplot, old taste, must also have old nostalgic atmosphere too."
"This is a very old shop next to the more famous Lai Fong. Revisited this shop after around 20 yrs. Glad the taste still the same old good quality from the father to now son. The beef brisket is very well cooked with authentic sauce, is a different style then other beef brisket noodles. Worth for a try. Just the atmosphere a bit pack and narrow."
"The mother who is the main cook rinsing the noodles in hot soup, the way she bends her waist tells us she has been working for years. I have tried Char Siew Wantan Mee and Mushroom Chicken Feet Mee, both are good. The tall son looks like going to take over the business. Hope it continues. They close on Sunday."
"While contemplating whether to order between Char Siew Wanton Mee or Mushroom Chicken Feet Mee. Something caught my eye, Stew Beef Mee.
"This is a very old stall fronting the shop next to famous Lai Foong coffee shop. Lai Foong has one famous beef brisket noodle with brisket and internal boiled with herb. Within the wan ton noodle stall 成记云吞面, it serve stew beef brisket which is very nicely done and very different vs Lai Foong stall. For reason that its stew beef brisket is one type of the won ton noodle it serves, it is not as famous and unless you know this stall, itbis often been neglected by many. The shop is not spacious and hot inside. Serving of noodle is slow, may be it is done diligently by the stall owner. If you can wait and be patient, after eating the stew beef brisket, you can certainly conclude that it is worth every minute of waiting."
"The stall is inside Lai Foong shop. The beef noodles cost rm14, it taste a bit salty. Beef texture is soft, like it. This shop is more cooling when compare to next door Lai Foong corner shop."
